About JEE

JEE Main is one of the most important exams for students who want to pursue a career in Engineering. It opens the doors to top colleges like IITs, NITs, and other prestigious institutions.

JEE Main Exam conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA) and is a first step to securing admission in undergraduate courses (B.E/B.Tech/B. Planning/B. Arch) at some of the best engineering colleges, including NITs, IIITs, CFTIs, and other institutions/Universities participating by state governments in India.

JEE (Main) comprises two papers:

Paper1: For engineering programs (B.E./B.Tech) at NIT’s, IIT’s and CFTI’s and as a prerequisite for JEE (Advanced) for IIT admission.

Paper -2A & Paper-2B: For B. Arch and B. Planning courses.

Eligibility criteria for JEE

After the JEE Main notification is released, candidates should register for the exam. Before registration, candidates should check the detailed eligibility criteria for JEE Main prescribed by the NTA. 

 Qualifying exam requirements:

Class 12th subjects: Class 12 or equivalent level

·        For BE/B.Tech- Physics, Mathematics and Chemistry/ Biology/ Biotechnology/ Technical Vocational Subjects.

·        For B. Arch- Maths, Physics and Chemistry.

·        For B. Plan- Maths

·        B.Tech in NITs/ IIITs/ GFTIs- 75% (general) or 65% (SC/ST)

·        B. Arch/ B. Plan- 50% aggregate scores.

Minimum age:

There is no age limit.

JEE Exam Date:

·        Last Date of Fee Payment : To be declared

JEE Documents Required:

The minimum documents that each student must submit online on the NTA website for successful completion of registration are as below:

·        Scanned copy of passport size photo

·        Scanned copy signature

·        Scanned copy of left hand thumb impression

·        Scanned copy of 10^th marksheet / certificate

JEE Additional Details:

Exam Mode:

·        Paper-1 (B.E./B.Tech.) : Online mode

·        Paper – 2A (B. Arch): Mathematics and Aptitude Test-Online mode, Drawing Test-Pen and paper mode.

·        Paper – 2B (B Planning): Online mode.
