The Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) are premier autonomous institutions established by India’s Ministry of Education to integrate undergraduate teaching with cutting-edge research in basic sciences. Seven campuses exist (Pune, Kolkata, Mohali, Bhopal, Thiruvananthapuram, Tirupati, Berhampur).
Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) primarily offer a 5-year integrated BS-MS dual degree program in core sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, Physics, Earth & Climate Sciences). Specialized courses include Data Science, Humanities, and 4-year B.Tech/BS in Engineering/Economic Sciences (specifically at IISER Bhopal/Tirupati)

Eligibility

• Educational Qualification:Candidates must have passed the Class XII (or equivalent) examination with a science stream from a recognized board.
• Subjects Required:At least three subjects among Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and Physics must be studied in 10+2.
• Minimum Marks: Minimum 60% aggregate (or equivalent grade) for GEN/OBC/OBC-NCL candidates. A 5% relaxation is given to SC/ST/PwD requiring a minimum of 55%
• Nationality:Candidates must be Indian nationals, OCI, PIO, or foreign nationals.
• Age Limit:There is no upper age limit, but candidates must be at least 18 years old to apply.
